Awayra is designed to run on your Windows computer without an account, advertising or telemetry. Here is what happens to your data in the application and on this website.

In the Windows application

The app works offline. Settings, reminder state, daily statistics and logs stay under %LocalAppData%\Awayra\. Awayra does not upload these files or collect browsing history or application usage.

The optional frosted background

When a break begins, Awayra can temporarily capture the display beneath the overlay and blur it to create the frosted background. The image exists only in memory. It is never written to disk or uploaded, and is discarded when the break closes.

Choose Overlay appearance → Solid to avoid display capture altogether.

On this website

This static website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It has no account form, advertising, embedded payment processor or third-party analytics script. Fonts and app screenshots are served from this site.

The motion preference is stored locally in your browser as awayra-motion-paused. This helps the site remember whether you paused animations. The setting is not sent to us.

Cloudflare processes ordinary connection information to deliver and protect the website. Its infrastructure may handle information such as IP addresses and request details. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Links and downloads

GitHub hosts the official source code, installer releases and issue discussions. Clicking a GitHub link takes you to that service, where its own policies apply. There is no automatic download or background request to GitHub from this site.

When you share feedback

GitHub issues are public. Check screenshots and logs before posting them, and avoid sharing personal or confidential information. For questions about the application, use the official issue tracker.
